Corps to Invite Bids for Shoal Harbor Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has introduced a plan to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the maintenance dredging of the Shoal Harbor and Compton Creek, located in Monmouth County, NJ.

During this cleanup program, approximately 150,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from the mentioned areas and placed at the nearby Confided Disposal Facility (CDF).

Dredging and disposal work will take place in December 2013 and March 2014, and a small hydraulic cutter-head dredger is expected to carry out the work.

The estimated value of the Shoal Harbor and Compton Creek dredging project is between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the plans and specifications for this solicitation will be available on or about 5 October 2013.
