GP Strategies Completes LNG-CNG Fueling Station

GP Strategies Corporation, a global performance improvement solutions provider, announced that its Alternative Fuels business unit has completed construction of the Kwik Trip Incorporated Alternative Fuels Station featuring Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) located at Kwik Trip’s corporate headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin. GP Strategies also designed the station, which is scheduled to open on May 10, 2012.

The station includes one 15,000-gallon LNG storage tank, two LNG fuel dispensers and three dual hose CNG dispensers. The station will serve Kwik Trip’s LNG- and CNG-powered vehicles, private fleets, and vehicles using multiple or other alternative fuels.

Michael Mackey, Vice President of GP Strategies’ Alternative Fuels business unit, said, “This station is significant because it provides a much needed public access station for LNG and CNG to a region that currently is not served. Regional fleet owners will now have the opportunity to reduce their operating costs by using less expensive, cleaner burning, domestic natural gas. It also provides another station toward building the nation’s natural gas highway system. We congratulate Kwik Trip for having the foresight to convert not only a portion of its own fleet to natural gas, but also to make the station accessible to others.”

GP Strategies’ Alternative Fuels business unit is a recognized leader in the design, fabrication, construction and maintenance of LNG, Liquefied Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) and hydrogen fueling stations, having been involved in the design, engineering and/or construction of more than 50 fueling stations since 2001.
