USA: Vero Isles Dredging Set for March

The Vero Isles canals dredging project, scheduled to begin March 19, is expected to make boat travel easier for residents in the area and make sure water flowing through outfalls is not blocked.

This dredging project is expected to take about three to four weeks, and workers are expected to dredge an area approximately 400 feet out from the outfalls,” said Don Dexter, Public Works Manager.

City officials stated earlier that they considered the project a one-time expense because of measures taken within the last few years to prevent sediment building back up by the outfalls.
