Video: Damen launches new Platform Supply Vessel

Damen Shipyards has launched another Platform Supply Vessel in its yard in Galati, Romania.

The vessel named Mamola Defender is the second of two Damen PSV 3300 vessels delivered to offshore ship manager Promar.

The platform supply vessel will be used to support offshore oil and gas operations in West Africa. It’s sister vessel ‘Mamola Reliance’ was launched in the same yard in September last year.

Mamola Reliance was handed over to Promar on February 23rd and will be named in Barcelona tomorrow. The Mamola Defender is planned to be delivered by mid-August 2015.
