International Maritime Organisation IMO has launched its latest film at the International Oil Spill Conference 2014 (5-8 May) in the United States.

IMO HQ London
This film tells the story of how IMO, a specialised agency of the United Nations, and IPIECA, an oil industry body, work together to help create resources and expertise in areas least able to cope with the disastrous effects of a spill.

IMO, the International Maritime Organization is the United Nations specialized agency with responsibility for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships.

IPIECA is the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues. IPIECA was formed in 1974 following the launch of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). IPIECA is the only global association involving both the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry on environmental and social issues.
