VNG awards LOI for Fenja development to TechnipFMC

Norwegian oil company VNG Norge has signed a letter of intent with TechnipFMC for the Fenja (formerly Pil & Bue) field development project offshore Norway.

According to VNG, the letter of intent includes Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation of the SPS (Subsea Production Systems) and SURF (Subsea structures, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines) for the Fenja project in the Norwegian Sea.

The final contract will be signed pending a final investment decision planned for December 2017, and subject to the authorities’ approval of the Plan for Development and Operations (PDO).

Operated by VNG, the Fenja field is expected to be developed as a subsea tie-back to Njord A platform. The field is set to be developed in two stages with two oil producers and one water injector starting production in early 2021 and one oil producer, one water injector and one gas injector starting production in early 2022.
