WERPO Seeking Cash to Clear Backlog

Wave Electricity Renewable Power Ocean (WERPO) has entered into a new agreement with Sunbelt Israel, part of the Sunbelt Business Network capital group, to secure funding for the outstanding projects.

WERPO, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Israeli sea wave energy technology developer Blackbird International Corporation, and Sunbelt Israel will now start ”an aggressive campaign to raise funds so that the company can start building all the power stations that were ordered.”

Shmuel Ovadia, a director of Blackbird and inventor of the WERPO technology, said: “This is a very exciting announcement as Blackbird/WERPO has many contracts in back orders and this partnership is the next step in propelling the company as a leader in the alternative energy market.”

Sunbelt Israel will work in collaboration with Sunbelt International Network to locate strategic partners, investors and international clients.

“I believe in the WERPO technology and its importance for the world energy market,” said Joseph Alon, exclusive representative of Sunbelt International Networks in Israel.

”We will start with a fundraising campaign for the purpose of building commercial power stations energized by ocean wave power. We plan to introduce world specialists to join Blackbird’s managing board as well as other steps we will announce in the future.”
