Yemen LNG General Manager Steps Down

Yemen’s Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindowah met on 24 December with Yemen LNG General Manager to say goodbye as his term in Yemen comes to an end.

During the meeting, Prime Minister and General Manager of Yemen LNG discussed the LNG prices and the mutual efforts to increase the LNG revenues which will help boost Yemen’s development through revewing the current prices to match the global prices and shipping Yemeni LNG to new destinations.

Prime Minister touched on the recent agreement to improve sales prices. He stressed on the importance of getting fair prices that serve the mutual interests of Yemeni government and project shareholders.

Basindowah appreciated Rafin’s efforts during his term to deliver Yemeni LNG to international markets, wishing him all success in his future endeavors.

On his part, Francois Rafin thanked the Yemeni government and people for their cooperation with Yemen LNG. He praised the efforts exerted by the Ministers of Defense and Interior to provide protection for the gas facilities despite the difficult circumstances faced by the country. He confirmed that the future of oil and gas will be promising in Yemen.
