Yemen LNG to Construct & Upgrade 10 New Schools in Shabwah

As part of its commitment to contribute to sustainable development, Yemen LNG has set out a two-year project to construct and upgrade 10 new schools in Radhoum, Jirdan, and Al-Rawdah districts of Shabwah governorate.

The schools will be equipped with furniture and accommodation for teachers as well. By 2012, the schools will receive 2,000 female and male students from the targeted areas.

The construction costs are estimated at US$ 1.8 million. Yemen LNG has already built 7 schools along the 320km pipeline extending from Marib to Shabwah.

An agreement was signed early this month between Yemen LNG and Public Works Project to implement the construction of the 10 schools.
