Aban Offshore Secures Job for ‘Deep Driller 5’

Aban Offshore has received a contract for its jack-up rig Deep Driller 5.

The rig, of Keppel FELS Super B design, will be deployed offshore Vietnam where it will be used by an undisclosed client. The client has contracted the rig on a firm period of 1 year and an optional period of 1 year.

The estimated revenue from the firm period is around $ 61.3 Million. The contract is expected to begin during April 2014.

Deep Driller 5 can accommodate a crew of 120.
