Dolphin Geophysical Christens Seismic Vessel Polar Duchess

Dolphin Geophysical AS has christened the M/V Polar Duchess at Vågen, Bergen on March 30th 2012. Many attended the special occasion, which launched the sistership to Dolphin’s flagship vessel.

Professor Gunn Mangerud kindly assumed the position of Godmother to the vessel.

M/V Polar Duchess is a purpose built high-end 3D vessel, capable of towing 14 streamers at 100 metre separation. Rigged with Sercel SSAS Sentinel streamers and the sistership to M/V Polar Duke, which is undoubtedly one of the most efficient vessels available to the market.

Polar Duchess is already contracted to TGS and will commence her upcoming survey in the Barents Sea imminently.
