China: CIC Lixin Shipyard Redelivers Mar Adriana

M/V Mar Adriana arrived at CIC Lixin Shipyard in the middle of March, 2012 and began her special survey that lasted for two weeks. With LOA 144 metres and molded breadth 23 metres, the vessel is a chemical tanker. This time the main work scope was the inspection of about 12 sets of cargo pumps, P/P treatment for cargo holds, general dry docking repair and etc.

The vessel is owned by a Spanish energy company. The P/P treatment of cargo tanks is a special project for chemical tankers which is different with other types of vessels. As soon as getting the job requirement from the owner, the yard immediately made a procedure of the P/P treatment of cargo tanks for the owner’s reference.

Futhermore, the owner hoped to arrange the vessel docked in earlier than the original plan to avoid any delay by bad weather. The yard tried best to adjust the schedule and finally catered to meet the owner’s requirement.
