Repaired MT YANG LIN WAN Leaves CIC Changxing Shipyard

MT YANG LIN WAN, a cruder-carrier of China Shipping Tanker Co. registered under the classification of CCS, arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard on June 19th to receive much needed repairs.

The main scope of work on the project was: fabrication of ER bilge water tank, installation on poop deck of a 200t-SWL bollard with the enhancement underneath, No.6 wing tank port frame insert, fabrication of ER funnel window-blinds door and the anti-pirate door in steering gear room, the repair of mushroom and miscellaneous work on deck

The production department made feasibly optimal production plan. The repair team exhausted themselves to achieve the best result in terms of on-time delivery, safety, quality and service.

It was difficult when the repairing area of the bilge tank was far from the skylight, while the space was narrow; a lot of material needed to be and could be delivered only by manpower. The construction team overcame the difficulty by using the winch, chain block and pulley, together with manual handling. They worked overtime and finally passed the leakage checking test. On the poop deck, 200t mooring bitt needed to be strengthened on the back of the deck, but the interval between frames was quite narrow, which made it harder to welded.

The construction team conquered the difficulty and accomplished this repairing job giving the great importance to the safety and quality.
