China: CIC Lixin Shipyard Completes Repairs of JIN HAI YANG

On 13th of July, CIC Lixin Shipyard successfully completed the repair works of M/T JIN HAI YANG. The subject tanker arrived at the shipyard on the afternoon of July 5th.

The main job included the cropping & renewal of E/R bottom hull plate, the installation of the doubler for NO.1 and NO.4 oil tank transverse bulkhead, the renewal of main deck steam pipes & vent pipe i.w.o. portside and starboard side of accommodation area renewal, the installation of wall plate doubler i.w.o. accommodation area and some scattered work.

Although the repair volume was not large, most of repair items were located in accommodation area and the high temperature brought lots of difficulties. The yard faced the hard problems and followed the business philosophy “The Shipowner’s requirement is what we always pursue”. The shipyard made labor force properly, adjusted the working time to avoid the extremely high temperature. Meanwhile, the yard paid high attention to repair quality & safety. On July 12th, the yard successfully completed all the repair projects ensuring the on-time delivery of subject vessel.
