China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Redelivers MV LUMOSO JAYA

CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Redelivers MV LUMOSO JAYA

On August 7, MV LUMOSO JAYA sailed from CIC Boluomiao Shipyard ahead of schedule for cargo loading. In 16 days, the yard concentrated their efforts to complete the repair work regardless of high temperature.

The main scope of work for this project included painting of cargo holds, routine docking repair and electromechanical repairs. The owner requested that the repair project should be finished within 18 days. The yard paid high attention to the painting works. During the docking period, the typhoon “Vicente” and the continual high temperature had bad influence on the repair schedule, so the yard adjusted the labor force and arranged four repair teams to work overtime.

On August 2nd, the shipyard finished the blasting and painting of cargo holds and hatch covers. The vessel set sail from the yard 2 days ahead of the schedule.
