VLCC Xin Han Yang Leaves CIC Changxing Shipyard

CIC Changxing Shipyard, on August 16th 2012, completed the repair works of VLCC Xin Han Yang and redelivered the vessel to its owners.

The main work scope for this very large crude carrier included cargo valve repair on deck, starboard windlass shaft repair and brake lining replacement, sewage tank & expansion tank fabrication in E/R, welding seam rewelding for No 4 cargo tank, M/E shaft system inspection and gangway sheave inspection, new scope platform fabrication and so on.

During the repair of port windlass brake lining, the workshop arranged the workers working around the clock and finished the job in one day and one night which insured the vessel undocked as per the schedule. During the repair of starboard windlass, the workers carried out the job precisely and checked carefully every recorded data, eventually they finished the job within 2 days.
