Spain: SENER Appoints New General Direction of Civil, Industrial and Marine Engineering

Gabriel Alarcón has been appointed Head of SENER’s General Direction of Civil, Industrial and Marine Engineering, an engineering and technology group that employs more than 5,000 professionals, with offices on four continents and a turnover of 1,160 million euros.

Gabriel Alarcón leaves his position as Director of SENER in Catalonia and General Manager of NTE-SENER to take over the company-wide management of all areas related to civil, industrial and marine engineering. In this position, he will also be responsible for defining and coordinating all engineering activities at SENER’s national and international offices.

Previously, Alarcón has held several positions within SENER, among which can be highlitgted the positions of Project Engineer, Project Manager and Head of the Mechanical Section of the Barcelona office.

Gabriel Alarcón holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and he has completed a postgraduate course of General Management at the University of Navarra (IESE). He has also been teaching for over ten years at UPC.
