China: Bestway Clinches $90.3 Mln Design Contract

Shanghai Bestway Marine Engineering Design, one of the largest and strongest professional comprehensive research and design enterprises for merchant ships and offshore engineering in China, and Dalian Inteh Group recently signed a 28,000 cum LNG carrier design and Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) contract.

As Sinoshipnews reports and according to the company’s announcement, the vessel will be the first medium-small sized LNG carrier to fly the Chinese flag and the vessel is scheduled to be delivered in March of 2015.

The total value of the contract is estimated to be approx $90.3 Mln. Under the contract, Cosco Dalian Shipyard will be responsible for the construction of the vessel.
