Nakilat Presents at This Year's Qatar Career Fair

Nakilat, Qatar’s premier gas transporter, and its joint venture shipyard operators, Nakilat-Keppel Offshore and Marine (N-KOM) and Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ), are presenting a wide range of job opportunities for young Qataris at this year’s Qatar Career Fair.

Opportunities include Nakilat’s prestigious new Marine Cadet Scholarship, which supports young nationals throughout their post-secondary education to become maritime officers, with a guaranteed placement aboard one of Nakilat’s state-of-the-art gas-carrying vessels after graduation.

Nakilat launched its Marine Cadet Scholarship in 2012 and has so far successfully recruited four marine cadets, who are currently attending the International Maritime College Oman.

Nakilat’s shipyard-based activities, including ship repairer N-KOM and shipbuilder NDSQ, are particularly interested in meeting potential Qatari recruits from communities in northern Qatar for whom working at Ras Laffan would be convenient.

Nakilat is a Qatari marine company providing the critical transportation link in Qatar’s LNG supply chain. Its LNG shipping fleet is the largest in the world, comprising 54 LNG vessels. Nakilat also manages and operates four LPG carriers. Via two strategic joint ventures, N-KOM and NDSQ, Nakilat operates the state-of-the-art ship repair and construction facilities at Qatar’s Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma Shipyard in the Port of Ras Laffan.
