Rosmorport General Director Meets with Shipyard Leaders of Primorye

FSUE Rosmorport’s Acting General Director A.V. Tarasenko paid a working visit to Vladivostok from 22 to 24 August, 2013.

During the visit the Acting General Director took part in the working meetings of the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin with the Governor of the Primorye Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky and the management of LLC Port “Vera”. The participants of the meetings discussed issues of the joint efforts of FSUE “Rosmorport” and LLC Port “Vera” in construction and further operation of the coal terminal near Cape Otkrytyi in Ussuriysk Gulf with the estimated power of 20 million tons per year, and also the choice of the site for the terminal construction.

Besides, Andrey Tarasenko held a meeting with the management of a number of shipyards in Primorye Territory to discuss the potential placement of orders for the construction of fleet for the needs of the FSUE “Rosmorport” branches in the Pacific Region.

Within the framework of the visit to Vladivostok the Acting General Director also met with the management of JSC Dalnevostochnoye Morskoye Parokhodstvo to discuss the intended transfer of 8 icebreakers, being operated by the FESCO Transportation Group, to FSUE “Rosmorport” on the basis of economic control rights.
