Chengxi Shipyard Gdynia Repair Goes According to Plan

The reparation project of “Gdynia” is progressing as scheduled, Chengxi Shipyard has announced today.

The vessel “Gdynia”, a bulk carrier from Poland and registered in BV Classification, came to Chengxi for repair, which initially entailed about 65 tons of steel work. With the repair under way, the steel work has been increased to about 600 tons by now, mainly involving corrugated bulkhead in cargo holds, shell plates and steel inside tanks and double bottom tanks.

The Steel Workshop is undertaking all efforts to arrange enough labor force and resources to ensure the steel work could be completed around beginning of September 2013 and up till now all work is being performed smoothly as scheduled.
