Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard Holds Two Ceremonies for Saint Michael Shipping

On December 06, 2011, Hyundai-Vinashin Shipyard (HVS) held two remarkable ceremonies for Saint Michael Shipping Co., Ltd, Greece, the owner of shipbuilding project of 82, 000 DWT Bulk Carrier.

Site Office Opening Ceremony took place under the attendance of representatives from Owner, Lloyd’s Register (LR) and Yard.

The ceremonies started with introductions of the parties’ personnel and the share from Mr. Young Ho Lee – Project Manager of LR, Mr. K. G. Park – HVS Vice President and Mr. Alexandros Vazirgiantzikis- Site Manager .

As the highlight of the ceremony, Mr. Alexandros Vazirgiantzikis opened the champagne, cut the cake and took commemorative photos together with others. The Site Office is officially put into operation until the vessel’s delivery scheduled at the end of 2012.

Afterward, Steel Cutting Ceremony for Hull No. S061 was organized at HVS fabrication shop. Hull No. S061 is an 82,000 DWT bulk carrier contracted with Saint Michael Shipping Co., Ltd.

As scheduled, Launching Ceremony will be in August, 2012.
