China: CIC Changxing Shipyard Completes Urgent Repairs for MV Ratan Pathfinder

At the beginning of December, M.V. Ratan Pathfinder owned by a famous Bangladesh company arrived at CIC Changxing Shipyard for urgent repair. Due to the breakdown of two (2) auxiliary engines, she couldn’t run well and need to have an urgent repair.

Once getting the information from the owners, CIC-Shipyards provided the reasonable quotation for the subject vessel immediately and confirmed the repair items with the owners’ representative at the same day. Escorted by 2 tugboats, the vessel smoothly came into CIC Changxing Shipyard the next day.

The yard assigned the professional technicians to cooperate with the crew & superintendent to make on-site inspection and find out the key reason of the breakdown. In addition, there was serious trouble in air compressor and the emergency generator also needed to be renewed. At present, the repair project is being carried out in order and she will set out as per the schedule.

Although it’s the first cooperation between CIC-Shipyards and the client, the owner is grateful for the yard’s quick response to the emergency issue and quite satisfied with the repair quality & short repair schedule.
