China: Repaired Vessel MV Maritime Lijiang Leaves CIC Boluomiao Shipyard

 

CIC Boluomiao Shipyard has completed the repair work of M.V. Maritime Lijiang successfully. Escorted by the tugboat, the vessel hit the water smoothly on Nov. 30th, which ensured her next voyage on time.

Owned by a Singaporean tramp company, the subject vessel entered CIC Boluomiao Shipyard for repair on Nov.14th, 2011.

The main repair scope was regular docking repair, sandblasting & painting of 7 cargo holds and installation of alarm system in the bridge. To ensure an on-time delivery, the yard put forward a detailed plan to keep smooth communication with sub-contractors, organized the labor force and coordinated with the owner.

After the hull painting was completed, the vessel was undocked on Nov. 20th. On the evening of Nov.25th, the sandblasting & 1st coat of 7 cargo holds (approx. 25,000 m2) was fulfilled and on the next day, the painting project for the whole cargo holds was totally completed. The wasted sand removal was followed closely. Meanwhile, the project of the grab repair & assembling, electric cable laying and equipment installation of the alarm system and function test in the bridge were carried out. Finally the ship departed successfully from the yard on Nov.30th.
