China: CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for MV Fuchang

CIC Boluomiao Shipyard Completes Repair Works for MV Fuchang

M/V “Fuchang” was well repaired by CIC Boluomiao Shipyard and re-delivered to the owners on Dec 15th 2011. Before the ship entered the shipyard preparations were in full swing, from materials procurement, equipment preparation to labors and technical support.

During the repair period, the managers at all levels strengthened the management and communication, and improved the predictability on-site.

They were carefully in accordance with the production schedules, held meeting every day with the ship and shipping company to analyze and solved the problems in production, supervision and implemented of the scheme.

Because the additional jobs were emerged now and then and not enough spare parts, a lot of time was wasted. But all the staffs were against the time and worked hardly. At last, all the works were finished with good quality.

It’s reported that, the ship entered into the shipyard for repair on Nov 29, 2011, and had 18 days of repair period. The repair works included the main engine overhaul, two generators overhaul and regular docking repair and some machinery equipment repair, etc. Though the yard was fully booked , the ship was redelivered on time.
