Fluidmecanica Extends Deal with Vyborg Shipyard

Fluidmecanica has signed a new contract with JSC Vyborg Shipyard extending the initial order to 3 ships. Agreement was carried out in the presence of Mr. Dmitriy V. Isakov, Commercial Director and Mr. Oleg V. Tsvetkov, Deputy Technical Director.

JSC VYBORG SHIPARD (Russia) and ARTECH HELSINKI (Finland) will built three Icebreaker for the “Federal Marine and River Transport Agency”.

The Icebreaker of Project 21900M has a displacement about 10 000 tonnes, length of 116 meters and 26.5 meters of beam. The ship is able to overcome the ice thickness of 1.5 meters.

The order comprises the following machinery:

Towing winch cascade type
Pull: 1200 kN
Belt braking keeping force: 2125 kN

Two auto-tension electrically anchor-mooring windlasses Anchoring:

Max pull at gypsy: 273 kN

Chain diameter: 62 mm, K2

Four auto-tension electrically driven mooring-windlasses

Nominal pull: 125 kN

Two auto-tension electrically driven mooring windlasses

Nominal pull: 125 kN

Three reel for towing rope

Nominal pull: 50 kN

Two reel for electric cable

Nominal pull: 50 kN
