Eni S.p.A.: Plane Crash in Pakistan. 21 Dead.


Eni confirms that a JS Chartered aircraft crashed near Central Ordinance Depot, Cantonment area immediately after taking off from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport at 7.25 AM today November 05, 2010. The flight was destined for the Bhit gas field in Jamshoro district, Sindh province.

Aircraft was carrying 21 passengers including 3 crew members, 1 Airport Security Force personnel, 15 Eni employees and two Contractor’s employees. There are no reports of any survivors.

Eni informs that in the air crash occurred today in Pakistan, the following people have deceased:

Rafique Sajid, Pakistani citizen

Rana Muhammad Alam, Pakistani citizen

Raza Amir, Pakistani citizen

Saleemuddin, Pakistani citizen

Sasso Antonio, Italian citizen

Shah Iqbal Hussain, Pakistani citizen

Siddique Shahid, Pakistani citizen

Syed Anwar Imran, Pakistani citizen

Syed Irshad Ali, Pakistani citizen

Tahir Muhammad, Pakistani citizen

CEO Eni Paolo Scaroni and Eni E&P COO Claudio Descalzi are flying to Pakistan in the next hours to meet the colleagues of Eni employed in the Country. Further details on the accident will be provided after necessary checks with Pakistani authorities.
