Inpex Orders Offtake Tankers for Ichthys Offshore Project in Australia
Japan’s INPEX has announced two shipbuilding and shipping contracts for two new vessels which will offtake and deliver LNG from the Ichthys LNG Project offshore Western Australia to Japan and Taiwan. Through its wholly owned subsidiary INPEX Shipping Co., Ltd . (‘INPEX Shipping’), one LNG vessel will be jointly owned with Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha , Ltd . (‘” K” Line’) through Ocean Breeze LNG Transport S. A. and built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries , Ltd.

SOCAR Orders $800Mln Semi-Submersible Rig from Keppel
Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) has, through its subsidiaries Caspian Rigbuilders BV and Caspian Shipyard Company (CSC), secured a contract from Caspian Drilling Company Ltd, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), to build a semi-submersible drilling rig, which includes owner furnished equipment, worth about US$800 million.
