Israel: Noble Energy Plugs Pinnacles Well

Israel Noble Energy Plugs Pinnacles Well

Noble Energy has informed its partners it is going to plug and abandon its Pinnacles 1 well located offshore Israel.

According to a press release issued today by Delek, one of Noble’s partners in the project, due to significant increase in the water flow rate in the production of natural gas from Pinnacles 1 well, Noble has decided to close the bar, and prepare for final abandonment.

Abandonment operations are planned to be performed during 2014, after obtaining the necessary permits and obtaining material and equipment required for that.

First gas from the well, linked by a subsea pipeline to the nearby Mari B production platform, began to flow in June last year.
