Solstad sells AHTS

Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Solstad Offshore has sold an Anchor Handling Tug Supply vessel.

The vessel in question is the «Nor Supporter» built in 2005. The vessel was delivered to its new owner 13th June 2014.

Solstad said that the sale will have limited accounting effect but will have a positive cash effect for SOFF of approximately NOK 40 million (USD 6.6 million).

The company last week caught media attention when it confirmed an order for a large subsea construction vessel to be built by Vard.

The vessel is of VARD 3 19 design, developed by Vard Design in Ålesund. The hull of the vessel will be built at Vard Tulcea in Romania, while outfitting will take place at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for 2Q 2016.
