PHOTO: P-66 Hull Heads to BrasFELS Shipyard

Petrobras has on December 08 started the transit of the P-66 hull of the first, in a series of eight, replicating FPSOs under construction.

According to the company, this is the first FPSO hull fully constructed in Brazil.

After the departure from the Rio Grande Shipyard 1 the hull heading to the BrasFELS Shipyard, in Angra dos Reis (RJ), is expected to arrive there on December 18.

Upon the arrival at BrasFELS, the modules will be installed on the hull, and equipment and systems will be integrated, interconnected and tested.

The P-66 will be deployed in the Lula field, in the pre-salt of Santos Basin, operated by Petrobras (65%) in partnership with BG E&P Brazil (25%) and Petrogal Brazil (10% ).

The hull has a width of 54 meters, with total weight of 353 500 t. The FPSO, when finished will have a length of 288 meters and it will be capable of accommodating 110 people.
