James Young Takes Up CTO Role in JDR

JDR announced that James Young will take up the role of chief technology officer with effect from February 01, 2016.

James joined JDR in 2000 as senior design engineer for new product development. He was appointed engineering director in 2011 after a series of technical management roles within the business.

In his prior role as engineering director, James led the attraction and development of JDR’s engineering talent for many years, the company said.

David Currie, CEO, said: “This appointment truly recognises the responsibilities and key contribution that James is making to JDR’s future direction and technological capability, as well as his key role as a member of our executive team and valued partner to me in my role as CEO.”

James has a degree in mechanical engineering, is a chartered engineer and has an MBA from Cranfield.
