Vattenfall launches world’s largest offshore wind farm (UK)

With its 100 turbines, the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm has a combined energy capacity corresponding to the annual electricity needs of over 200,000 households. The electricity produced at Thanet substantially increases the generation of “green electricity” in the UK.

Vattenfall is one of the leading European energy companies and is working to minimize emissions of carbon dioxide from its power generation. The Thanet Offshore Wind Farm is a significant investment in renewable wind energy for the company.
