Klaipedos Nafta Shareholders Approve Lithuania FSRU Deal

Höegh LNG of Norway said that on Monday, the Extraordinary General Shareholders’ Meeting of AB Klaipedos Nafta approved the decision of the Board of AB Klaipedos Nafta to continue the implementation of the LNG terminal project and to conclude a contract on lease, operation and maintenance (repair) of the floating liquefied natural gas storage and regasification unit (FSRU) with Höegh LNG.

Höegh LNG has recently entered into a ten year time charter with Klaipedos Nafta for a floating LNG storage and regasification unit to be used as an LNG import terminal in Lithuania.

The company intends to use the second of the three new regasification vessels being built at Hyundai Heavy Industries in South Korea for this deal, which will commence in the second half of 2014.
