South Korea: LNG Imports Drop in May

South Korea imported 2.2 million tonnes of LNG in May, down 7.7% from the same month in 2011 when the country purchased 2.4 million tonnes of LNG, customs data showed.

The country’s LNG imports rose 15% in April to 2.72 million tonnes of LNG, compared to the year before.

South Korea’s KOGAS, the world’s largest corporate buyer of liquefied natural gas, plans to import about 36,46 million tonnes of LNG this year.
