South Korea: LNG Imports Up in August

South Korea imported 2.35 million tonnes of LNG in August, up 16% from the same month in 2011, customs data showed.

The country’s LNG imports rose 22,5% in July to 2.76 million tonnes of LNG, compared to the same month in 2011.

South Korea’s KOGAS, the world’s largest corporate buyer of liquefied natural gas, plans to import about 36,46 million tonnes of LNG this year.
