Aframax Tanker on Auction in Singapore

The Aframax tanker Ocean Mare, which was arrested in June this year, has been put up for auction in Singapore, Supreme Court of Singapore records indicate.

The closing date for bids is October 6 at 3:00 p.m., according to the court’s data.

As explained, the net value of bunkers on board the 106,004 dwt Ocean Mare is SGD 239,582 (around USD 177,000), which is excluded from the sale and has to be paid by the purchaser. The court said that the amount payable is not negotiable.

Built at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in 2006, Ocean Mare is currently lying alongside at Sembcorp Marine Shipyard.

Owned by India’s Varun Shipping, the crude oil carrier currently has a market value of USD 15.68 million, VesselsValue’s data shows.

What is more, three anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels were put up for auction in Singapore on September 26, 2017. The ships in question are Pacific Bronze, Pacific 8 and Pacific 28. The closing date for bids for each of the vessels is October 10 at 3:00 p.m.
