Aiken Group creates new arm, Aiken Burke

Aberdeen-based Aiken Group has announced the launch of a new division called Aiken Burke.

Aiken Burke specialises in commercial and contract consultancy and schedule delay analysis. The core of the business is ensuring dynamic project controls to increase efficiency and avoid disputes with a particular focus on the oil and gas and heavy engineering industries. It is headed by Richard Burke who brings to the role more than two decades of experience gained in numerous locations around the world.

Aiken Group is a leading and innovative supplier of integrated, out-sourced and solutions-based engineering and specialist services principally accommodation; engineering, construction and modification and technology and project management. In 2013, the company – which is owned by Danny Donald and Norman MacKay – announced a 4% rise in revenues to £13.33 million and recently reported that it had won work worth in excess of £14 million since the beginning of this year.

Commenting on the launch of Aiken Burke, Aiken Group managing director Danny Donald said: “One of the keys to ensuring the ongoing success of our companies lies in the synergies which exist between our divisions, and the creation of this new arm underlines that ethos whilst playing a part in the Group’s ongoing and sustained growth.”
