Air Activities Suspended, Ships Continue the Search for MH370
Planned air activities in a search for flight MH370 have been suspended for today due to poor weather conditions in the search area.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority planned to cover 49,491 square kilometers which would be conducted by 10 ships and Bluefin-21 AUV today.
Until now Bluefin-21 has searched approximately two thirds of the focused underwater search area.
Currently the AUV is on track for completing its ninth mission.
No contacts of interests were found.
The focused underwater search area is defined as a circle of 10km radius around the second Towed Pinger Locator detection which occurred on 8 April.
