Air Liquide’s reliquefaction unit for Shell’s bunker vessel

Air Liquide Advanced Technologies said it will provide an LNG reliquefaction unit, the Turbo-Brayton, which will be installed on an LNG bunker vessel.

The LNG bunker vessel was commissioned by Shell, and the Turbo-Brayton package is scheduled for delivery and installation on the vessel in 2016, the company said in a statement.

The bunker vessel will be based at the port of Rotterdam and will supply LNG-fueled vessels operating in the Emission Control Areas zones in northwest Europe.

The Turbo-Brayton reliquefies LNG on board to manage Boil-Off Gas and also return vapor during bunkering operations. For this project, the TBF-350 Equipment will reliquefy up to 0.5 t/hour.
