Alderley Delivers Gas Metering Systems for Qatargas JBOG Project

Alderley FZE said it has successfully delivered four fiscal gas metering skids for the Qatargas operated Jetty Boil-Off Gas Project (JBOG).

The gas metering skids will be located in Ras Laffan Industrial City in the north of Qatar.  The contract was issued to Alderley FZE by leading engineering construction company, Fluor.

The scope of supply includes 4 x fiscal gas metering skids; 2 x 100 % in configuration with 6” – 10” Ultrasonic flow meters, three metering control panels and analyser shelter. The analyser shelter contains two gas chromatographs to measure the Gas composition in the common JBOG pipeline and subsequently transfer the data to six fiscal gas metering computers through a fibre-optic network.

Mike Shepherd, General Manager of Alderley FZE comments, “The project strengthens the relationship we have developed with Qatargas over the years and we are pleased that we could supply key equipment and services to support the Jetty Boil-Off Gas project, which is set to become a landmark LNG project for the State of Qatar.”

The systems have been designed, manufactured and tested at Alderley FZE’s facility in Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates.
