Laurent Schmitt has been with Alstom since 1998, where he started in the power generation area, moving on to applications for electrical protection, transmission and distribution substations, dispatching centres, and energy trading platforms. Since June 2010, as Vice-President for Smart Grid, Laurent Schmitt is widely recognised internationally for his leadership in the following areas:
