With this transaction, Anthony Veder expands its fleet to 33 vessels and with eight small scale LNG vessels the company continues their strategy to support the potential for LNG as a marine fuel and in the distribution of LNG for power supply, the company’s statement reads.

The newly acquired gas carriers were part of the Skaugen fleet and are renamed Coral Favia and Coral Fungia.

As an integrated shipping company, Anthony Veder will take over the commercial operation and ship management from the current managers.

Speaking of the two vessels, Anthony Veder CEO, Jan Valkier said, the acquisition is consistent with the company’s focus on providing shipping solutions in the petrochemical gas segment and in the small scale LNG market.

“After a short yard period to upgrade them to our standards, the vessels are available to our customers in the second quarter of 2019,” he said.
