API Marine to Equip Five Newbuilds

API Marine has signed a new contract with TURKTER (YARDIMCI) Shipyard, for delivery of Integrated Cargo Control, Monitoring and Alarm System for a series of five oil/chemical tankers, on order by Palmali Group of Companies (Turkey).

The new tankers represent a continuation of the “Armada” range of vessels, project RST22M with the overall deadweight capacity of 7100 tons, and are designed for river-sea transportation of crude oil, fuel oil, diesel fuel and other petroleum products and vegetable oils. The vessels will be carrying commodities on the shipping routes of the Caspian, Black, Mediterranean, Baltic and North Seas, as well as around Europe and in the Irish Sea.

API Marine to Equip Five NewbuildsThe advanced API Marine equipment will provide full control and monitoring of cargo tanks as well as ballast, service, fuel and lube oil tanks with an integrated system, based on the API Marine range of sensors and systems. The equipment sets are scheduled for delivery throughout 2014, with supply of the first two systems commencing in January, 2014.
