Arrow Energy to Participate at APPEA 2013

Arrow Energy will have a striking orange presence at the southern hemisphere’s largest oil and gas conference in Brisbane next week.

Arrow’s exhibit at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA) 2013 conference will feature an orange tree-themed display featuring latest news about the growing gas company.

Arrow CEO Andrew Faulkner said Arrow’s eye-catching display would have information about Arrow’s proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) project and domestic gas business as well as technical innovations, coexistence commitments and social investments.

“Arrow is a dynamic young company with solid foundations, through the strength and experience of our international parents, and a bright future particularly in regional Queensland for generations to come,” Mr Faulkner said.

“The tree theme reflects Arrow’s strong roots, our rapid growth and our capacity for innovation and value creation for our communities and the Australian coal seam gas (CSG) industry.

“We’ll have career and supplier information at our exhibit and we’ll also be highlighting Arrow’s enviables — the competitive advantages that set Arrow apart from other gas companies.

“These enviables are Arrow’s extensive gas reserves, the backing by our international shareholders (Shell and PetroChina), development of gas fields in both the Surat and Bowen basins and the fact that all our LNG offtake is already accounted for.”

Arrow staff will be on hand at the Arrow exhibit with access to a specially designed microwebsite available on iPads and tablets throughout the conference.

Mr Faulkner said Arrow was a Queensland success story — employing more than 1250 Queenslanders, including more than 360 regional staff in Dalby, Moranbah and Gladstone.

“Not a lot of people realize that Arrow, in partnership with AGL, had one of the first and still the largest CSG gas field in Australia and that Arrow has been safely developing CSG since 2000,” Mr Faulkner said.

“Arrow delivers about 20 per cent of Queensland’s gas from five CSG fields in the Bowen and Surat basins. Arrow also has interests in three CSG-fired power stations which have enough capacity to power up to 800,000 average-sized homes.”

Conference delegates can visit Arrow’s APPEA 2013 exhibit at the Brisbane Convention Centre, South Bank between May 26-29, on sites 245, 247 and 251 (along APPEA Boulevard), also near the Shell exhibit site 182.
