Atlas Professionals expands through Programmed Marine acquisition

Atlas professionals, a Dutch provider of recruitment and HR services for offshore energy industry, will buy Australia’s Programmed Maintenance Services’ international activities of Programmed Marine.

Under the acquisition agreement, Atlas will buy 100 percent of Programmed’s international marine activities, and 50 percent of Programmed’s offshore and marine manning services in Australia and New Zealand.

The Australia and New Zealand ops will be managed through a 50-50 joint venture between the companies.

According to Atlas, the transaction is still subject to customary conditions and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2017.

The company added that the acquisition would expand Atlas’ global footprint through the addition of four Programmed Marine offices in Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai, and Singapore.

Marcel Burghouwt, CEO of Atlas Professionals, said: “We are proud to acquire a part of the business of Programmed Marine. With increased local knowledge and expertise in Australia, New Zealand, Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai, and Singapore we will be in an even better position to provide our clients with our value-added services.”
