Australia: EPA Visits Port Hedland Development Projects

According to pilbaraecho.com, the Environmental Protection Authority toured Port Hedland last week to meet with community and business members.

Together with Deputy Chairman Chris Whitaker and members Denis Glennon, Rod Lukatelich and Elizabeth Carr, the independent board toured several development projects.

“The EPA have had a long and ongoing involvement in those matters when it’s been assessing various port expansion proposals so we’re keen to see and understand how things are going,” Chairman Paul Vogel said.

The board also inspected dredging of the South West Creek and the expansion of the Fortescue Metals Group port.
