Australia: Marine Discovery Centre at Henley Beach Receives Two State Prizes

Marine Discovery Centre at Henley Beach has won two awards worth approximately $60,000, the Herald Sun reports.

The centre, which is used in teaching children about sea life, won $30,000 as the winner of the NAB Schools First Impact Award, and another $30,000 for being named overall state winner.

The prizes allow the center to upgrade its models and to focus more on oceanography, and how tides and currents work.

More than 100,000 students visited the centre since its opening.
