Awilco LNG freight income drops

Oslo-based Awilco LNG, operator of five LNG tankers, reported freight income of USD 17.7 million compared to USD 20.8 million in the previous quarter.

The company informed that the decrease is due to the lower utilisation of WilEnergy and reduced earnings from its WilGas LNG carrier.

In total, the utilisation of Awilco’s trading vessels was down to 78% from 86% in the previous quarter.

Loss before tax and for the period was USD 2.5 million, compared to a profit of USD 0.3 million in Q2 2014.
