Belgium books more Qatari LNG

Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge terminal in Belgium is scheduled to receive LNG cargo from Qatar.

According to shipping data, the 173,400 cbm Stena Clear Sky LNG tanker departed from Ras Laffan port on September 25, and is scheduled to dock at the Zeebrugge terminal’s jetty on October 13.

The vessel was built and delivered in 2012 by DSME of South Korea and Stena Bulk has the full responsibility for the commercial operation and technical management of the tanker.

Belgium’s terminal is eyeing expansion with the engineering contract recently awarded to Amec Foster Wheeler.

AFW has been contracted to do detailed engineering of the boil-off gas recovery system and associated facilities as well as the interconnection with the fifth LNG storage tank and the existing plant facilities.
